Activities

As we navigate the rich cultural mosaic of Nepal, we recognize the significance of applying NVC within the context of this diverse nation.

School Workshops

– For Teachers and Students –

By implementing the campaign “Coloring Nepal with NVC” the NVC Practice Group implemented workshops all over Nepal and has nearly been to different schools (private and governmental) in every part of the country.

The NVC workshop formats depend on the timeframe of the schools and can be adapted flexible when it comes to time or group size. Since the NVC trainers are all over Nepal, there are contact persons in nearly every district of Nepal.

Groups

  • Peace Clubs – 20 active clubs in 20 schools

The innovative idea to create peace clubs in schools is a new concept. Within the district of Kaski, three schools celebrated the kick-off of a regular peace club in their school. The main idea about peace clubs is to create a joint learning space for students committed to support social activities and contribute to a more peaceful coexistence, within school life but also within their communities.

  • Women group – 3 women groups (regular practice group)

Our female NVC trainers are deeply connected to their own communities and aware of the various challenges women in Nepal are dealing with. Since the NVC concept is a helpful tool to deal with different kinds of daily live challenges and to find joint solutions, women groups have come into live in different districts.

  • Youth Group

Every week, the youth group around Srijana Chowk/Srijana school is meeting in the Art Studio 13 in Pokhara. Using NVC creates a space for exchanges, to share knowledge and train skills, but also to have some creative time and fun together.
